Leenie Brown fell in love with Jane Austen's works when she first read Sense and Sensibility followed immediately by Pride and Prejudice in her early teens. As the second of five daughters and an avid reader, she has always loved to see where her imagination takes her and to play with and write about the characters she meets along the way. In 2013, these two loves collided when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. A year later, in 2014, she began writing her own Austen-inspired stories and began publishing them in 2015. Leenie lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two teenage boys and her very own Mr. Brown (a wonderful mix of all the best of Darcy, Bingley and Edmund with healthy dose of the teasing Mr. Tillney and just a dash of the scolding Mr. Knightley).

  1. This is so good, it’s almost like a photograph. I can almost hear the laughter and the conversation, and the brush strokes are just amazing. The clothing, the fabrics on the furniture, the skin tones are all superb. I could look at this one for a long time before I could take in everything there is to see. Everything is just right, nothing seems overdone. Don’t even let me get started on how fabulous the floor is, or how beautifully the fabrics are draped. Everything just glows. This one is a master class in painting and life. He has really given the ladies some wonderful expressions. The man is clearly fascinated, but trying not to give anything away. Epic fail! They know! I really like the hair, it looks like it was done by the ladies’ maid, or even themselves. It is nice but not overdone. I want those bracelets they are wearing, and I get a kick out of the young dandy with his red heeled shoes and intricately arranged cravat. This one is perfection.
