Leenie Brown fell in love with Jane Austen's works when she first read Sense and Sensibility followed immediately by Pride and Prejudice in her early teens. As the second of five daughters and an avid reader, she has always loved to see where her imagination takes her and to play with and write about the characters she meets along the way. In 2013, these two loves collided when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. A year later, in 2014, she began writing her own Austen-inspired stories and began publishing them in 2015. Leenie lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two teenage boys and her very own Mr. Brown (a wonderful mix of all the best of Darcy, Bingley and Edmund with healthy dose of the teasing Mr. Tillney and just a dash of the scolding Mr. Knightley).

  1. How gorgeous that painting is! I find the colors restful and soothing, with a little air of mystery thrown in. The expressions on the faces almost tell a story, and I love that building. The leaded windows and the ivy will draw me in every time. Wednesday’s are a master class in art appreciation, and I am thoroughly loving meeting some of these artists for the first time. I just bought the book about Mary and the Colonel. I had gotten a free copy in the giveaway, but when my son was transferring things to my new iPad, I lost some things, and that was one of them. I was about fifteen pages in when my son’s new iPad arrived, and he gave me his old one which is actually only a few months old, so a great deal for me, although I do wonder where those files went! At any rate I was glad I could buy it and enjoy it. It is nice to have all of your books on Kindle, and it is nice that all my kids are geeks and like to give me their hand me downs. 🙂 It is also nice that you keep writing books for me to buy, and that you give us such great things on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You’re a keeper.

    1. I’m so glad you enjoy the posts here on the blog. 🙂 I enjoy doing them, so it is nice to know that that enjoyment is shared. I love Heywood Hardy’s paintings. He does outdoor scenes and his animals are fantastic (as are the people and the scenery). Most of what I have seen of his work seems to be in these hues, which are very soothing to me. And I agree, every painting I have seen of his seems to contain a story.

I’m sorry you lost your files. 🙁 I am not a tech savvy person myself. I know enough to get by, but if I need to know anything too detailed, I ask my sons. They are both “geeks,” too. It really is wonderful to have them around to help me — even if that help sometimes comes with a chuckle and a shake of the head at my expense. They have awesome senses of humor.
