Well, that was a surprise!

ElevenReader Changes:

I got a surprise when I went to upload a new book to ElevenReader a couple of weeks ago. The normal option to offer the book for free and get paid $1.10 per qualified listen (11 minutes) was gone.

In it’s place was the option to offer my book for free without any payment, sell it, or place it in the soon to be released subscription program where I can get paid $0.20 per hour listened to.

Wow. What a shift! And I didn’t know it was coming. Maybe I missed the communication about that — it’s VERY possible.

So here’s what you might want to know:

  • Yes, I am still going to offer my books on ElevenReader even if the payout is a fraction of what it was. It’s going to take a very long time to get all my books produced into audiobooks, so this will make books available to those who prefer or need audiobooks much more quickly.
  • This change is coming in February. The switch is supposed to take place on the 14th. That means if you want to listen to any of my stories for free, you’ve got a couple of weeks to do so. After that, all books currently enrolled in the previous author payment scheme of $1.10 per qualified listen will roll over into the subscription.
  • Subscriptions are $11/month or $99/year.
  • They also have an option for authors to sell access to their books, and it looks like this might become available to me as an option to have my books both enrolled in the subscription and offered for sale. But, it won’t let me do that yet. (Yes, I tried. LOL I like options.)
  • And I just added the rest of my Nature’s Fury and Delights novelettes this week, so there are new book options there. (I’m up to 47 titles there.)
  • Until February 13 or 14, I can still earn $1.10 per qualified listen.

December Book Promotions

Good Monday to you all. This is my update on all things Book Promotions for the month of December. I’ll keep this short and to the point since I have a Saturday Broadsheet coming out this weekend, where I can share other things. 

This month, I am focusing some of my marketing and promotional efforts on my Choices series. This series begins with one choice made by Mr. Bennet to force a marriage between his Lizzy and Mr. Darcy, and just tapping the first domino in a string of them set up to fall, this one choice leads to more struggles and happily ever afters down the line. 

Her Father’s Choice is the first book in the series and is the free read on Patreon. This means you only have to follow me for free there to be able to read the book. 

It is also one of the two downloads this month for Patreon subscribers. (Subscriptions start at $2 USD/ $3 CAD per month.) The second download for subscribers this month is Enticing Miss Darcy which is a sequel to one of last month’s downloads (Becoming Entangled). 

As always, my full catalogue of books is available to be read on Patreon for subscribers, so you could read the full Choices series there this month.

Her Heart’s Choice is book four in this series and is my $0.99 book for the month of December. It is $0.99 everywhere EXCEPT Smashwords where it is FREE. This is because all my books are included in the End of Year Sale over there and reduced by 50%. Smashwords has a policy that pricing for books starts at $0.99, so any book that falls below that threshold becomes free.

There is just one more promotion that my books are involved in that I wanted to let you know about. If your library uses CloudLibrary, they are having a sale this month, and all my books are reduced 30% for the month of December. (As you can see, all my Annilee Books are also part of this sale.)

Another Kobo (and elsewhere) Promo

I told you I would have more info on the final Kobo promotion when I had the details. I have them now.

Her Father’s Choice is reduced in price to $0.99. This promotion is on until November 29, and it is only available in Canada, the UK the US, Australia, and New Zealand. (Sorry. Not my choice. This is the scope of their promotion.)

Start Something New (for $0.99)

School will be starting around here this upcoming week. So, I thought it was the perfect time to put my series starters on sale. That’s twelve Leenie titles and one Annilee Nelson title. Annilee writes contemporary Christian romance.

It’s a JAFF Bonanza!

One Day ONLY Event

If you read my Saturday Broadsheet, then you’ve been expecting this email. 🙂 I hope your clicking finger is ready! 

Today, and only today, you can visit this link (jaffbonanza.com) and find nearly four dozen JAFF titles that are FREE to download. There are moderns and historicals, steamy and sweet, Pride and Prejudice Variations and maybe stories inspired by other Austen books. Hopefully, there will be several that will intrigue and delight you. 

One thing to note if you are not in the US: 

If you click a link and it takes you to the Amazon.com store, you may see a message telling you that the book is currently not available. 

Go to the address bar, and change that .com to dot whatever your store is. For me, it is .ca. 

Check the price (because, for me, sometimes a book that is free in the .com store is not in the .ca store – which is excessively frustrating and not always the fault of the author. So please don’t yell at us. 🙂 Amazon is known to change prices at times).
