The woman tipped her head and looked at Lydia. “You are the very image of your mother.”

“You remember her?” Elizabeth asked.

Sally nodded. “I know it would seem nearly impossible for one to remember a lady twenty-some years after meeting her especially since our meeting was not long in duration, and, well, I do meet a good number of young women.”

Leenie Brown fell in love with Jane Austen's works when she first read Sense and Sensibility followed immediately by Pride and Prejudice in her early teens. As the second of five daughters and an avid reader, she has always loved to see where her imagination takes her and to play with and write about the characters she meets along the way. In 2013, these two loves collided when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. A year later, in 2014, she began writing her own Austen-inspired stories and began publishing them in 2015. Leenie lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two teenage boys and her very own Mr. Brown (a wonderful mix of all the best of Darcy, Bingley and Edmund with healthy dose of the teasing Mr. Tillney and just a dash of the scolding Mr. Knightley).

  1. Oh, dear. There is a bit of ‘splaining needed here my dear. What happened in the past? How does this Sally person know Mrs. Bennet or at the time… the Miss Gardiner and what does that mean to our girls? I am loving this story. There are so many twists and turns. Well done. Come-on Dash!! Lead the guys to the girls. This should be fun.

  2. My goodness that dress is just too much! And that head wear? I am so hot just thinking of wearing it i’ve got to turn on my ceiling fan! Loving the story and Lizzy & Lydia are in their night gowns! Lol!
