The April 2022 Saturday Broadsheet

The Saturday Broadsheet, with all my writing life updates, is now available at the link at the bottom of this short post.

In this issue of the Broadsheet you will find:

  • Info about what is posting on my blog. (As if you didn’t know, right? LOL)
  • Info about my writing and publishing news.
  • Info about any book promotions. (Want to get A Scandal in Springtime for $0.99? You can do that this week.)
  • Some book swaps. What are those? I explain it in the Broadsheet.
  • And a fun video about what a day in the life of Elizabeth Darcy might have been like.

Have a great weekend!

I hope you have time to read a book.

I’ll be back on Thursday with a new chapter of His Inconvenient Choice.

Leenie Brown

Leenie Brown fell in love with Jane Austen's works when she first read Sense and Sensibility followed immediately by Pride and Prejudice in her early teens. As the second of five daughters and an avid reader, she has always loved to see where her imagination takes her and to play with and write about the characters she meets along the way. In 2013, these two loves collided when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. A year later, in 2014, she began writing her own Austen-inspired stories and began publishing them in 2015. Leenie lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two teenage boys and her very own Mr. Brown (a wonderful mix of all the best of Darcy, Bingley and Edmund with healthy dose of the teasing Mr. Tillney and just a dash of the scolding Mr. Knightley).

  1. I see actually listened to the entire 22 minute video about Elizabeth ‘s day. All women have a busy day if they choose to have one. Once I retired, I expected to spend my day reading P&P variations. That went out the window once I adopted a cat with polyps and a kitten who is obsessed with food and playing with the tail of a cat who doesn’t want to be bothered! I also teach online part-time and talk to friends and family on the phone when I am not cleaning or preparing my own meals. It seems activities stretch out to feel the hours! I would think that Elizabeth and Jane had enough intelligence to find activities to fill their lives.

    1. I agree; busyness often does come down to choice. Some busy things are nice to have in one’s life so that things don’t get boring. 🙂 (I struggle with taking time to relax. LOL)
