…If his heart could make his choice for him instead of his father, Kitty Bennet would be his choice. She had stolen his heart when she shivered in the wind on the street in front of the milliner’s shop as she insisted on being introduced to him as Katherine…

Leenie Brown fell in love with Jane Austen's works when she first read Sense and Sensibility followed immediately by Pride and Prejudice in her early teens. As the second of five daughters and an avid reader, she has always loved to see where her imagination takes her and to play with and write about the characters she meets along the way. In 2013, these two loves collided when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. A year later, in 2014, she began writing her own Austen-inspired stories and began publishing them in 2015. Leenie lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two teenage boys and her very own Mr. Brown (a wonderful mix of all the best of Darcy, Bingley and Edmund with healthy dose of the teasing Mr. Tillney and just a dash of the scolding Mr. Knightley).

    1. I’m happy to hear that! 🙂 I think Kitty in the Colonel in this story might be my “sweetest” couple. They’d definitely be at the top if they are not at the top.

  1. I too love Katherine and the Colonel. I love regency but I could never wear any of the hats they use to wear. But the dresses are right up my alley…lol

    1. I love that you lived this couple. I’m not a hat person so those hats can stay in the Regency lol. (although I do wear one to avoid burning in the summer and occasionally for warmth when shoveling in the winter)

  2. I love this painting. Oh, it’s been too long since I read the Choices series. I feel a voice calling me to reread. Sometime this year. I have a huge reread wish list. 🙂 And I promised I would make a dent in it this year.

I hate what hats do to my hair, ha! Such vanity. But I also wear one when I’m out in the sun.

  3. The painting makes me think of Lydia’s love of designing bonnets. I love the pairing of Kitty and the Colonel. That was so good. I loved the way this series worked out. Blessings, stay safe, and healthy.
