“That is a very good likeness,” Alfred said as he took the seat next to her which Kitty had vacated.

“Thank you. Flowers are my specialty.” She smiled at him sheepishly. “To be honest, they are the only thing I can draw that comes close to looking as it should.”

“I find that hard to believe.”

Leenie Brown

Leenie Brown fell in love with Jane Austen's works when she first read Sense and Sensibility followed immediately by Pride and Prejudice in her early teens. As the second of five daughters and an avid reader, she has always loved to see where her imagination takes her and to play with and write about the characters she meets along the way. In 2013, these two loves collided when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. A year later, in 2014, she began writing her own Austen-inspired stories and began publishing them in 2015. Leenie lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with her two teenage boys and her very own Mr. Brown (a wonderful mix of all the best of Darcy, Bingley and Edmund with healthy dose of the teasing Mr. Tillney and just a dash of the scolding Mr. Knightley).

  1. As soon as I saw the sketches, I immediately thought of Kitty and her art. Then I read the sentences below. I knew it. Yeah!! I love it when Kitty shows her artistic ability. In many JAFF stories, she doesn’t have a lot going for her and her art gives her a platform where she can perform.

    1. Well, actually, this is Georgiana, but she and Kitty share a lot of interests in this series. (Including handsome fellows named Langley LOL)

      1. Ooops! You’re right. After I looked at it again, I saw where he took the seat where Kitty had vacated. LOL!
